Anne Leclercq
My name is Anne Caron Leclercq, and I am an experienced certified midwife in both Europe and the US. Over the past 20 years, I have worked in Belgium, France, and the US, including hospitals, personal practice, and the Austin Area Birthing Center. My husband and I moved to Austin, Texas, from France in 2012 with our two eldest children, and our youngest son was born in Austin. I am also an IBCLC, a Natural Family Planning teacher, a certified Haptotherapist, having received my certification from CIRDH in 2012. Haptonomy, widely used in Europe, helps parents-to-be function as partners in parenting before birth. I am the only practicing Haptotherapist in the US. Certifications: * Pre-Postnatal Aquatic Childbirth Education (Aquarius @Ostende Belgium, 2005) * Haptotherapist Certification (CIRDH, 2012) * IBCLC Certification (2023) * Marquette Method NFP Teacher (in process, 2023-2024) My passion for being a mother and midwife inspires me to help others have a relaxing and non-stressful birthing experience. Professional Experience: I began my midwife career in Europe supporting families during birth and postpartum. I worked as a self-employed midwife and at a local hospital in France, providing prenatal education and perineal reeducation. In the US, I have supported women through pregnancy, delivery, and post-birth, and as an IBCLC, I help women enjoy their breastfeeding journey. I am also now focused on helping women understand their bodies and fertility better.
